I like to use the analogy when describing crack to a non-believer as follows:

In any war, there are armies and weapons. The fact about any weapon is, there are no "defensive" weapons. All the weapons ever created were made for the soul purpose of "offensive attack" with the result being death and destruction.

I like to think of crack as the "WMD" of all evil weapons. Remember when Bush sent our armies to Iraq to look for WMDs and none were found? Well, they were there, and they are everywhere, not just Iraq, and they aren't just nuclear or biological, most of them are brought on by our human inability to "defend" against the true enemy and that is satan.

When satan uses his WMD (crack) against us, as humans, we really have no power against it....BUT, when we bring God into the picture, we have the ultimate "defence. God promises us that we should not fear, but take heart, he has "overcome" the world.

Crack tried to destroy my life and for many years I let it because I wasn't using the right "defence", (faith, hope, love, prayer, and God himself....but without God, it was impossible to have a strong defence.)

The thing about WMDs is that those that are effected by them are never the same. They have to live with the after effects for the rest of their lives. Crack is just like that and the only hope we have of eve recovering from its initial blow, is to seek help from the highest power, God....

The bible says, "Blessed is the nation whos God is the Lord" Well, I believe that this also applies to individuals who trust in God.

How does one gain freedom from crack cocaine? Well, how does a soldier survive an attack from the enemy?

He uses a bigger, better, stronger, and smarter weapon...

When the enemy is crack...the only defensive WMD is GOD!
